Kulgam: Water levels in Vishow Nallah at Khudwani in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district surged past the danger mark on Wednesday, prompting authorities to evacuate residents in nearby areas, officials said.
An official confirmed that the Nallah’s water level exceeded both the flood declaration level and the danger mark earlier today. With rains continuing across south Kashmir, the district administration, in coordination with J&K Police, has rescued residents living close to the Nallah and relocated them to safer places.
