Samsung Expands One UI 8 Beta to More Devices, Including Mid-Range Galaxy Phones
Samsung is broadening its One UI 8 beta rollout to include more devices, now covering several mid-range Galaxy models. The Android 16-based version of One UI 8, initially launched for 2024 flagship devices and the Z Foldables in August, is now reaching older flagship and mid-range Galaxy phones this September.
The One UI 8 update cycle continues rapidly, allowing select Galaxy devices to try out the new version ahead of its public release. Samsung notably outpaced Google in July by introducing Android 16 on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE models.

While the stable release of One UI 8 is already available for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, and the Galaxy S25 series is currently running the beta, mid-range Galaxy devices are now set to experience Android 16. The expansion to the A-series phones is a promising sign, demonstrating Samsung’s commitment to bringing its latest software to a wider audience.
Samsung is expected to roll out the stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 devices later this month, though the exact date has not been confirmed. Users can anticipate the Android 16 update within the next few weeks.
