Tecno Pova Slim 5G Debuts as a Sleek Contender Ahead of iPhone 17 Air

While the trend for thin phones began with Samsung and Apple is expected to join the race with the iPhone 17 Air later this month, Tecno has taken the lead by introducing its own slim device to the Indian market.
Beyond its sleek design, the Pova Slim 5G packs a punch with a MediaTek chipset, built-in AI features, a voice assistant, and a surprisingly large battery for a thin form factor.
Price in India
The Tecno Pova Slim 5G is priced at Rs 19,999 for the single 8GB + 128GB variant, with sales beginning September 8.
Specifications: More Than Just Slim
Tecno claims the Pova Slim 5G is the slimmest phone featuring a 3D curved display, measuring 5.95mm in thickness. The rear design features an eye-catching camera module that lights up for notifications. Photography is handled by a 50MP primary sensor paired with a 2MP depth sensor.
Under the hood, the phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset with 8GB RAM, expandable by an additional 8GB. It sports a 6.78-inch 3D curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
The Pova Slim 5G comes with Android 15 out of the box, and Tecno promises further OS upgrades and two years of security updates, with the final update expected to be Android 16.
