Mumbai: Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan is all hearts for his girlfriend. On Thursday, he took to Instagram to share a heartfelt note appreciating Saba Azad for her mesmerizing performance in the film Songs of Paradise.
“The genuine praise I’m seeing for the makers, technicians, and artists behind Songs of Paradise is truly uplifting. I watched this film in its rough cut months ago, and it touched me deeply. I was moved to tears, especially by the character of Zeba. The overwhelming applause the movie is receiving now has restored my faith in the universe—you truly get what you deserve,” Hrithik wrote.
He added, “And you, @sabazad, for the incredible artist you are and the exquisite art you create, deserve every bit of the applause coming your way. I’ve witnessed your struggles, the helplessness, the frustrations, and the agony so many talented artists face—craving the basic opportunity that true talent deserves in an industry that often values ‘followers’ over craft. Reflecting on her experience, Saba said in a press note, “Portraying a character inspired by the legendary Raj Begum has been nothing short of a revelation. As a musician, I pride myself on a broad listening vocabulary, yet I was completely unaware of the phenomenon that is Raj Begum. This film introduced me to her incredible life, times, and vast musical repertoire.”
Created by Danish Renzu, Songs of Paradise draws inspiration from the life, music, and journey of Padma Shri awardee Raj Begum.
