Srinagar: The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has predicted intermittent rain and thundershowers across Jammu and Kashmir over the coming days, but no major weather disturbances are expected until September 12.
The forecast indicates a brief spell of rain or thunder at a few locations on September 6. On September 7 and 8, light rain and thundershowers are likely to be scattered to widespread, with a chance of moderate rain or thunderstorms in some districts of the Jammu division during late-night or early-morning hours. From September 9 to 12, isolated brief showers or thundershowers may occur.
The department has issued a caution regarding possible landslides and falling stones in vulnerable areas. Residents are advised to avoid water bodies, nallahs, river embankments, and unstable structures.
Farmers have been encouraged to resume agricultural activities starting today, while paddy harvesting can begin from September 9.
