Chennai: Operation Sindoor exemplifies India’s unmatched military prowess, showcasing the armed forces’ ability to deliver swift, precise, and decisive action against adversaries, said Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, Chief of the Air Staff.
Speaking after reviewing the Passing Out Parade at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) here, he highlighted that the operation demonstrated exceptional coordination among the three services, as well as seamless integration with other armed forces and agencies.
A total of 130 officer cadets, including 25 women, were commissioned into various Arms and Services of the Indian Army. Additionally, 9 men and 12 women foreign officer cadets from nine friendly nations successfully completed their training, strengthening international camaraderie and cooperation.
Addressing the graduates, Singh said, “As we look to the future, two things are certain — the rapidly evolving nature of warfare and the increasing relevance of military power. Operation Sindoor stands as a testament to our capabilities. You, as the future of our forces, must remember that the defence forces have always been and will continue to be the first responders.”
He added, “The professional conduct of these young officer cadets will reflect both the mentorship of their instructors and the high training standards of this Academy.”
Emphasizing teamwork, he urged, “Our strength lies not only in individual excellence but in the cohesion of the entire team. No service operates in isolation — whether in the sky, on the ground, or at sea. Continue to uphold the spirit of jointness as you progress in your careers.”
He further reminded the cadets, “Understand your role and the roles of others, and always give your best to bring glory to our Motherland.” Praising their synchronized drill display, he noted it reflected the exceptional standards of the OTA.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards: Raj Biswas received the Sword of Honour and Silver Medal, Parul Dhadwal was awarded the OTA Gold Medal, and Pranjal Dixit earned the Bronze Medal.
