Kulgam: Three Army personnel, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were injured on Monday during an ongoing encounter with terrorists in the Gudar forest area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Officials stated that the JCO was first injured in the exchange of fire, followed by two more soldiers sustaining injuries in the ensuing gunfight. All injured personnel have been evacuated to a hospital for treatment.
In the operation, one terrorist was killed, while the security forces continue to engage others who are still hiding in the area. The joint operation, involving the Army, Police, and CRPF, was launched based on specific intelligence about terrorist presence in the forest. Further updates are awaited.
