Jammu: Police on Monday detained an alleged criminal under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).
According to a police spokesperson, the accused, identified as Rahil Gagotra of Shaheedi Chowk, is named in several FIRs registered across different police stations under various laws, including the Arms Act.
The spokesperson said the Jammu district magistrate had issued a PSA warrant against Gagotra, which was executed by a team from Peermitha police station. He has been shifted to Udhampur district jail, the official added.
