GANDERBAL: In celebration of Eid–e-Milad (PBUH), Government Degree College (GDC) Ganderbal came alive with soulful recitations and engaging discussions as the Departments of Islamic Studies, Urdu, and Kashmiri jointly organized a Debate and Naat Competition.
The event aimed to honor the spiritual legacy of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), inspire intellectual reflection, and highlight the enduring relevance of his teachings in today’s world.
Prof. Fouzia Fatima, Principal of GDC Ganderbal, patronized the event and in her address, underscored that the Prophet (PBUH) continues to serve as a timeless source of guidance and inspiration.
Opening the proceedings, Dr. Tauseef Ahmad Parray, Convener of the event, reminded the audience that “in a world searching for meaning, the Prophet’s message of mercy continues to guide humanity.”
The Naat competition saw ten participants deliver heartfelt performances that deeply moved the audience. The jury recognized Shahid Qadir Lone (1st Semester), Muneeb Javid Mir (5th Semester), and Arsalan Nazir (7th Semester) as the top three performers.
