New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday greeted engineers on the occasion of Engineers’ Day, highlighting their vital role in building a “Viksit Bharat.” The day honors the contributions of engineers and marks the birth anniversary of M. Visvesvaraya, the renowned civil engineer and administrator.

On X, Modi said, “Today, on Engineers’ Day, I pay tribute to Sir M. Visvesvaraya, whose brilliance has left an enduring impact on India’s engineering landscape. I extend my warm greetings to all engineers who, with their creativity and determination, continue to drive innovation and overcome challenges across sectors. Our engineers will remain central to the collective effort of building a Viksit Bharat.”
