Srinagar: Amid concerns over petrol shortages and the closure of the national highway, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Monday assured that LPG and diesel stocks are sufficient. He acknowledged a temporary shortage of petrol but said supplies are expected to be restored within two days.
Garg said restoration work on the highway is being carried out round the clock and is likely to be completed in the next two days. Meanwhile, the Mughal Road has been kept open to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential commodities to the Valley.
“Essentials are well-stocked. Diesel and LPG are sufficient, while petrol supplies will be refilled within two days,” he said, urging the public to remain calm and avoid rushing to fuel stations.
