Jammu: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) to enhance cooperation in management education, research, training, and professional development, officials said.
The agreement was signed by IIM Jammu’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Kesavan Baskkaran and ICMAI Secretary (officiating) Debaprosanna Nandy, in the presence of IIM Jammu Director Prof. B. S. Sahay, ICMAI council member Navneet Kumar Jain, and other senior officials.
According to an IIM Jammu spokesperson, the MoU sets a framework for collaboration between the two institutions, enabling joint initiatives such as management development programmes (MDPs), specialised training, executive education, and faculty development programmes.
It also provides for knowledge-sharing through research partnerships, joint seminars, conferences, workshops, curriculum development, and exchange of academic resources. The agreement further supports faculty exchange, collaborative research projects, and access to shared learning platforms.
The spokesperson said the partnership reflects IIM Jammu’s vision of emerging as a globally recognised management institute and highlights ICMAI’s role as the statutory body responsible for advancing and regulating the profession of cost accountancy in India.
