iPhone 16 and Other Apple Devices at High Risk, Indian Govt Issues Security Alert
Apple users are facing a major security threat that has prompted the Indian government to issue an urgent warning. The company has released updates for several devices, making it crucial for millions of iPhone 16, iPad Air, and MacBook users to upgrade to the latest software versions to protect against potential hacking threats.
On September 16, 2025, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) issued a high-severity alert affecting a wide range of Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, and MacBooks. Fortunately, the upcoming iPhone 17 series, set to go on sale later this week, is not impacted by these vulnerabilities.
The CERT-In bulletin provides a detailed list of issues affecting iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices.
