Mumbai: The premiere of The Ba**ds of Bollywood* on Wednesday evening turned into a dazzling affair, with celebrities, industry heavyweights, and prominent personalities gracing the red carpet.
The event was a true celebration of glamour and style, with attendees showcasing striking high-fashion looks.
Among the first arrivals were the Ambani family—Reliance Industries Ltd Chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani, his wife and Reliance Foundation Chairperson Nita Ambani, son Akash Ambani with wife Shloka Mehta, daughter Isha Ambani, and daughter-in-law Radhika Merchant. The family exuded elegance and joy as they came to support Aryan Khan on his directorial debut.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan made a stylish entrance with his wife Gauri Khan and their children Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam. At one point, Shah Rukh posed for the media, while Aryan captured the moment on his phone.
Couple goals were on display as Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt arrived in coordinated white outfits. Alia dazzled in a strappy white gown, while Ranbir complemented her look with a white shirt, blazer, and black trousers.
Bobby Deol, who plays a pivotal role in the series, attended with his wife Tanya Deol and son Aryaman Deol. Other close friends of the actor present included Ajay Devgn, Kajol, Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and designer Manish Malhotra.
Madhuri Dixit turned heads alongside her husband Dr. Shriram Nene, glowing in a stylish printed outfit.
The star-studded guest list also featured Sussanne Khan, Arslan Goni, Chunky Panday, Bhavana Pandey, Seema Sajdeh, Arhaan Khan, Nirvaan Khan, Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Jackky Bhagnani, Vijay Varma, Farhan Akhtar, Khushi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Bhumi Pednekar, Mira Rajput, and Tamannaah Bhatia, among others. Filmmakers Rajkummar Hirani and Zoya Akhtar were also in attendance.
The cast of The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, including Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Anya Singh, and Rajat Bedi, joined director Aryan Khan for a group photograph, radiating excitement ahead of the premiere.
Before the premiere, Karan Johar shared a heartfelt Instagram post praising Aryan Khan’s dedication over the past two years. Farah Khan also posted a picture with Aryan, writing, “My Boy! The kindest, sweetest, talented and most hardworking director I’ve ever had the privilege to choreograph for… @aryan may the movie gods bless you with love and success for #theB***dsofBollywood. Love you.”
The series preview was first unveiled at a special event on August 20 in Mumbai, attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, and producer Gauri Khan. The full cast, including Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Bobby Deol, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, Rajat Bedi, and Gautami Kapoor, was introduced at the event.
The seven-episode series follows Aasmaan Singh (Lakshya), an ambitious newcomer with big dreams, supported by his loyal friend Parvaiz (Raghav Juyal) and manager Sanya (Anya Singh) as he steps into the world of fame.
The official trailer, running three minutes and twenty-eight seconds, opens with Lakshya defending himself as an actor amid accusations of causing chaos with his statements. The plot intensifies when he is cast opposite superstar Ajay Talvar’s (Bobby Deol) daughter Karishma (Sahher Bambba). The story explores Lakshya’s challenges in the world of fame, including rumored ties with underworld figures.
Written and directed by Aryan Khan and produced under Red Chillies Entertainment, The Ba**ds of Bollywood* premieres on Netflix on September 18.
