Srinagar: A couple from Umerabad HMT tragically lost their lives after being struck by a vehicle near Noora Hospital in Srinagar, officials said on Thursday.
According to sources, the couple was crossing the road on Thursday evening when they were hit by a speeding vehicle. Both were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment. The woman, identified as Fahmeeda (50), died shortly after arrival, while her husband, Bashir Ahmad (55), succumbed to his injuries the following morning.
Police have arrested the driver and seized the vehicle. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
