Mumbai: Superstar Salman Khan has wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan after an intense 45-day schedule.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, known for Shootout at Lokhandwala, the film is inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between India and China. The filmmaker confirmed the completion of filming in Leh, Ladakh, through Instagram Stories on Wednesday night, sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of the high-octane project.

Mounted on a large scale, the film promises to deliver raw action and patriotic intensity, showcasing the 59-year-old actor in a never-seen-before avatar, according to a press note. Lakhia also posted a picture with Salman, writing, “It’s a wrap – 45 days.” In another post, he reflected on the challenges of the shoot: “Froze, baked, shivered, ate sand, walked in the Indus, sucked oxygen but still leaving with all those memories that make me smile.”

The movie also stars Chitrangda Singh in the lead opposite Salman.

Speaking to PTI in July, Salman described Battle of Galwan as one of the most physically demanding films of his career.
“It’s physically challenging. Earlier, I could prepare in one or two weeks, now I need much more time for running, kicking, punching – all that. This film demands it. Shooting in Ladakh, in high altitude, in cold water – that’s another level,” he said.

Unlike his usual Eid releases, Salman confirmed that the film will hit theatres in January 2026.
