JAMMU: The IQAC and Placement Cell of Government College of Education Jammu successfully organized a campus placement drive, underlining the institution’s commitment to advancing student careers. The event, held on the college campus, saw enthusiastic participation from final-year students across various disciplines.
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., one of the nation’s leading automobile manufacturers, conducted interviews and selection rounds for a range of technical and management roles. The drive provided students with a valuable opportunity to engage with industry professionals and explore career prospects with a renowned organization.
College Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar lauded the Placement Cell’s efforts and highlighted the importance of such drives in shaping students’ futures. “Campus placements bridge the gap between academic learning and professional careers. It is heartening to see top companies like Maruti Suzuki recognizing the potential of our students,” she said. Prof. Satish Sharma, Senior Professor, emphasized that placements are essential in government colleges, offering students direct pathways to industry roles. Prof. Rajinder Kour, Coordinator for B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses, encouraged students to embrace new opportunities presented by multinational companies.
The drive was efficiently coordinated by faculty members Prof. Shalini Rana, Prof. Balwan Singh, Prof. Suraj Prakash, and Prof. Ambica Sharma, with student hosts Rudardev Singh, V. Surjalakshmi, and Sourav contributing significantly to the program’s management.
The Maruti Suzuki recruitment team was led by Sukesh Koul, Group HR & Strategy Growth, alongside Aman Koul, Group Head, Call Centre, and Komal Kachroo, HR Executive.
