Deputy CM Surveys Public Grievances, Reviews Flood-Damaged Infrastructure
JAMMU: Reaffirming the government’s commitment to addressing public concerns at the grassroots level, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary conducted a day-long tour of Dansal and Nagrota blocks yesterday, reviewing local demands and issues.
During the visit, the Deputy CM inspected Panchayat Badsoo in Block Dansal, and Panchayats Kattal Battal and Sandhi in Block Nagrota, along with areas recently affected by flash floods and heavy rainfall. He also held grievance redressal camps, listening to residents’ concerns ranging from water and power supply to road infrastructure.

Directing officials to prioritize timely resolution of these issues, Choudhary assured local representatives that all demands would be given serious consideration. He emphasized the government’s commitment to providing improved facilities at people’s doorsteps and accelerating rural development.
While inspecting damaged roads and bridges, the Deputy CM instructed the XEN to expedite repair and restoration work. He also urged authorities to provide financial assistance, in accordance with norms, to families affected by house and livestock losses.
Choudhary stated that under Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s leadership, the government is proactively engaging with citizens, particularly those in remote areas, to address their concerns. He reaffirmed that the development of far-flung regions and the well-being of rural communities remain top priorities.
