Indian Army’s Chinar Corps extinguishes fire in Anantnag village, preventing major damage

Anantnag: A massive fire erupted in Khush Roi Kalan village of Anantnag district on September 20, triggered by an electrical short circuit, destroying two houses, the Indian Army’s Chinar Corps reported on Sunday.

According to Chinar Corps’ post on X, the fire spread rapidly, but army personnel acted swiftly, extinguishing the flames and rescuing residents, thereby preventing further loss of life and property.

The post read, “On 20 Sep 25, a massive fire broke out in Khush Roi Kalan village of Anantnag district due to an electrical short circuit. Two houses were completely gutted, and the fire was spreading fast. Chinar Warriors immediately swung into action, dousing the fire and rescuing residents, averting loss of life and property. #IndianArmy remains steadfast in its commitment to serve the Nation and its citizens.”
