JAMMU: Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma on Sunday visited forward positions along the Line of Control in the Akhnoor sector, praising troops for their high operational readiness despite the challenges posed by record August rainfall.
According to a Northern Command post on X, Lt Gen Sharma lauded the personnel for their resilience and the swift, successful execution of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations during the region’s flash floods.
“During his visit, Lt Gen Sharma appreciated all ranks for their unwavering dedication to maintaining operational readiness and morale under demanding conditions, emphasizing the importance of sustained vigilance and continued peace,” the statement added.
