Government Polytechnic Jammu launches sanitation drive as part of Sewa Pakhwada initiative

JAMMU: As part of the Sewa Pakhwada initiative, Government Polytechnic Jammu conducted a Sanitation Drive today. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, NSS volunteers, and a large number of students actively participated in the event.

The drive focused on cleaning classrooms, laboratories, corridors, and common areas, removing waste and plastic from the campus, planting and maintaining greenery, displaying cleanliness awareness posters and slogans, and conducting sessions on hygiene and environmental responsibility.

Principal Er. Talet Mahmood highlighted the significance of individual efforts in building a cleaner and healthier India. The event concluded with all participants taking a pledge to maintain cleanliness not only within the campus but also in their wider surroundings.

The initiative successfully promoted community engagement and environmental awareness among students, reinforcing the spirit of service and collective responsibility.
