Reviews Health Projects at District Hospital, Inspects Yatri Niwas at Kheer Bhawani

GANDERBAL: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo yesterday inaugurated a Mega Health Camp at District Hospital Ganderbal under the Sewa Parv initiative and Swasth Naari Sashakt Parivaar Abhiyaan.

The event was attended by Secretary, Health & Medical Education, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah; Secretary, Rural Development Department (RDD), Aijaz Asad; Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg; Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, besides senior officers of the district administration.

As part of the Abhiyaan, a wide spectrum of healthcare services was extended to the public. Senior citizens above 70 years were issued Golden Health Cards under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, entitling them to free and quality healthcare. The camp also offered NCD screenings, general health check-ups, TB screenings, and mental health consultations, benefiting a large section of the community.

On the occasion, the Chief Secretary reviewed several ongoing health infrastructure projects in the district, including the upcoming 50-bed Critical Care Block and the District Integrated Public Health Care Lab, designed on a hub-and-spoke model with block-level laboratories. He also inspected the under-construction Mortuary Building, Administrative Block, and Public Canteen being developed under the UT Capex Scheme.

Later, Dulloo visited the Kheer Bhawani Temple at Tulmulla to assess progress on the Yatri Niwas project. He inspected the site, reviewed timelines for pending works, and was briefed on the current status by Secretary RDD, Aijaz Asad.

Underscoring the importance of the project, the Chief Secretary directed executing agencies to maintain quality standards and expedite the pace of work to ensure timely completion.
