New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that Class 10 and 12 board examinations will begin on February 17, 2026. A tentative datesheet for the exams was released on Wednesday.
For the first time, Class 10 board exams will be held in two sessions. The first phase will run from February 17 to March 6, 2026, while the second phase is scheduled between May 15 and June 1, 2026, CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said.
The Class 12 board exams will take place from February 17 to April 9, 2026.
Sharing details of the evaluation process, Bhardwaj stated that checking of answer scripts will begin around 10 days after each subject’s exam and conclude within 12 days. For example, if the Class 12 Physics exam is held on February 20, 2026, evaluation would start on March 3 and finish by March 15, 2026, he added.
