Srinagar: Police on Wednesday arrested a man from South Kashmir’s Kulgam district for allegedly providing logistical support to terrorists involved in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, officials said.
The accused has been identified as Mohd Yousuf Katari (26), an Over Ground Worker, police said, adding that his arrest was made following an intelligence input.
Officials noted that Katari had assisted the terrorists later killed in Operation Mahadev. On July 29, Army para commandos neutralised three terrorists on the outskirts of Srinagar, including Sulieman alias Asif, believed to be the mastermind of the Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists.
The other two slain terrorists were identified as Jibran—involved in the October 2024 Sonamarg Tunnel attack—and Hamza Afghani.
