New Delhi: India has successfully test-fired the Agni-Prime missile from a rail-based mobile launcher, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced on Thursday.
The new-generation missile, with a strike range of up to 2,000 kilometres, comes equipped with advanced features. This marks the first launch of its kind from a specially designed rail-based system, capable of moving across the rail network. The platform enables cross-country mobility, faster reaction time, and reduced visibility, Singh said in a post on X.
