KATHUA: As part of the ongoing Seva Parv celebrations, Government Degree College Ramkote today organized a Plantation Drive on its campus. The initiative, led by College Principal Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul, aimed to raise ecological awareness, educate participants on environmental issues, and foster a sense of collective responsibility towards a greener future.
The plantation drive was followed by a Swachata Rally under the “Swachata hi Seva Campaign 2025.” The rally commenced from the college campus, moving through nearby lanes with participants chanting slogans promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental conservation. Around 50 NSS volunteers actively took part, contributing to the event’s success.
The activities were coordinated by Prof. Pankaj Nandan, IQAC Convener; Prof. Suresh Chander, NSS Convener; Prof. Anu Sharma, NSS; Prof. Vasundra Raje, HoD Sociology; and Mr. Krishan Singh.
