JAMMU: District Magistrate of Jammu imposes restrictions in areas surrounding Civil Judge Preliminary Examination centers

JAMMU: District Magistrate Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas, exercising powers under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), has imposed restrictions around the examination centers for the Preliminary Examination for the post of Civil Judge (Junior Division) in the Subordinate Judiciary. The exam, conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, will be held on September 28, 2025, in two sessions: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

According to the order, five examination centers have been designated in District Jammu.

To maintain law and order, the order prohibits the assembly of five or more persons within a 100-meter radius of the notified centers from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the exam day, except for authorized personnel. Violators will be punished under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
