LG Manoj Sinha Leads Strategic Discussions at Unified Headquarters Meet

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today chaired a Unified Headquarters (UHQ) meeting at Raj Bhawan, Srinagar, to review the prevailing security situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting was attended by Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Chief Secretary Shri Atal Dulloo, DGP Shri Nalin Prabhat, GOCs of 15, 16, and 9 Corps—Lt Gen Prashant Srivastava, Lt Gen P K Mishra, and Lt Gen Rajan Sharawat respectively—Air Vice Marshal Vikas Sharma, AOC J&K, Shri S.J.M. Gillani, Special DG Coordination PHQ, Principal Secretary Home Shri Chandraker Bharti, ADGP CID Shri Nitish Kumar, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor Dr Mandeep K. Bhandari, along with senior officials from the Armed Forces, CAPFs, J&K Police, intelligence agencies, and the civil administration.

The Lieutenant Governor commended the Security Forces, J&K Police, and intelligence agencies for their recent successful anti-terror operations in the Union Territory.

“While significant progress has been made, the war against terrorism is far from over. Both kinetic and non-kinetic operations must continue. We must sustain the momentum and take stringent action against terrorism and its entire ecosystem,” he emphasized.

He further directed the security apparatus to continuously enhance capabilities and proactively adapt to evolving threats. The Lieutenant Governor also called for a ‘Whole of Government Approach’ to effectively address radicalization and the drug menace in the region.
