Jammu: A Pakistani national was repatriated along the International Border after being apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) near Jammu, officials said on Saturday.
Mohd Akram, a Pakistani resident, was taken into custody on September 25 in the R S Pura sector, on the outskirts of Jammu city, after he accidentally crossed into Indian territory, the officials added.
Authorities said no incriminating items were found on him, and subsequent questioning confirmed that his entry into India was unintentional.
Following standard procedures, the BSF coordinated with their Pakistani counterparts and handed over Akram to the Chenab Rangers during a flag meeting along the IB in the R S Pura sector late Friday, the officials said.
