Milan [Italy]: Actor Ishaan Khatter was in Milan recently for Fashion Week, where he had a star-studded encounter with former footballer David Beckham.
At the BOSS Spring/Summer 2026 show, Ishaan met Beckham and posed for photos alongside him. Beckham even shared a picture from the event, which Ishaan reshared, captioning it: “An honour to meet you!”
On the work front, Ishaan is receiving acclaim for his performance in Homebound. Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, the film tells the story of two childhood friends from a small North Indian village who aspire to a police career that promises the dignity long denied to them. But as they edge closer to their dream, growing desperation threatens their bond.
Ishaan stars alongside Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor in Homebound, which has been chosen by the Film Federation of India (FFI) as the country’s official entry for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.
At a recent press conference, Ishaan, Vishal, and Neeraj expressed their excitement over the Oscar selection. Ishaan said, “This is the film I am proudest of. Bhaut garv hai mujhe ispe…. It’s an extremely important film. Neeraj bhai has made this movie with a lot of thought so that it can reach a wider audience.”
Neeraj added, “Cannes, Toronto, Melbourne – the critical acclaim from around the world was thrilling. But for me, bringing Homebound to India is the biggest achievement. We made this film with absolute authenticity and integrity, and I hope that resonates with the audience here.”
