Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has officially summoned the J&K Legislative Assembly to convene in Srinagar on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10:00 A.M.

According to sources, the decision comes after the J&K Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, revised its earlier plan. The Cabinet had initially proposed holding the autumn session from October 13 to October 20.

Following consultations with the Speaker of the Assembly, the Cabinet rescheduled the session to October 23 to provide sufficient time for the submission and examination of questions, bills, and resolutions by the Assembly Secretariat.

In his official order, the LG stated, “The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is summoned to meet on October 23, 2025, at 10:00 A.M., in exercise of powers under Section 18(1) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019.”

Members of the Assembly have been requested to make necessary arrangements to attend the session on the revised date.
