Focus on Effective Self-Employment, Quality Education, and Service Delivery: CS Atal Dulloo Reviews Anantnag Development
ANANTNAG: Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo visited Anantnag today and chaired a detailed review meeting at Dak Bungalow, Khanabal, assessing the district’s developmental progress and the implementation of government schemes and welfare initiatives.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Anantnag SF Hamid, Principal GMC Anantnag, ADCs, DPO, GM DIC, ACR, ACD, SDMs, and other district and sectoral officers.
Deputy Commissioner Hamid presented an overview of the district’s developmental landscape, highlighting progress on key initiatives such as Mission Yuva, NMBA, TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, HADP, PMSGMBY, and JK Samadhan. He also briefed the Chief Secretary on beneficiary schemes across departments and ongoing infrastructure projects in Health, Education, RDD, R&B, PHE, Power, and other critical sectors.
Addressing the officers, Chief Secretary Dulloo stressed the need for effective implementation and full coverage of Central and UT-sponsored schemes, particularly in Health, Education, Social Welfare, Horticulture, and Agriculture. He underscored the importance of timely execution to ensure citizens receive the intended benefits, citing programs like PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojna, PM Vishwakarma, Mission Yuva, and HADP.
While reviewing Health and Education, the Chief Secretary acknowledged significant infrastructure development but emphasized that the quality of services in these sectors must be prioritized for greater impact.
He also called for strengthened implementation of self-employment initiatives, urging banks to simplify credit processes to generate meaningful livelihood opportunities for youth. Recognizing the district’s potential in agriculture and allied sectors, he directed departments to focus on enhancing productivity and establishing profitable, sustainable units to ensure long-term employment and economic growth for the local population.
