KULGAM: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, today organized a mega Public Darbar-cum-Grievance Redressal Camp at Chawalgam, providing a direct platform for residents to voice concerns, seek solutions, and present developmental demands to the government.
The camp was attended by ACR Kulgam, ACD Kulgam, SDM DH Pora, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Sheep Husbandry Officer, DFO, and Executive Engineers of PHE, I&FC, PWD, PDD, and PMGSY, along with other district officials.
The event saw active participation from citizens, community elders, social activists, and youth, who raised issues spanning healthcare, education, road connectivity, water supply, power infrastructure, and employment opportunities.


Listening attentively, Minister Itoo reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transparent, accountable, and responsive governance. She assured attendees that genuine grievances would be addressed promptly and instructed officials to take immediate, time-bound action on key issues raised during the camp.
Highlighting the importance of people-centric governance, the Minister noted that such public darbars bridge the gap between administration and citizens. She emphasized the prioritization of health and allied sectors, citing significant investments in upgrading health infrastructure, improving diagnostics, and strengthening primary healthcare services across rural and remote areas of Kulgam.
During the camp, the Minister also reviewed ongoing development projects and sought public feedback on service delivery. She directed officials to enhance monitoring mechanisms to ensure timely completion of works and fair distribution of benefits under various welfare schemes.
Minister Itoo appreciated the enthusiastic public participation and assured that such grievance redressal camps would continue regularly to strengthen government-citizen engagement.
