While the iPhone 17 Pro has dominated headlines recently, Xiaomi has unveiled its own Pro Max model as part of the flagship 17 series. The company has confirmed plans to launch the Xiaomi 17 series in India soon, though no specific date or timeline has been provided.
Xiaomi initially showcased the series at an event in China, revealing most of the key details. The announcement of an Indian launch has generated excitement, especially around the larger 17 Pro series, which includes the 17 Pro Max featuring a secondary rear display.
Xiaomi 17 India Launch: Will the 17 Pro Max Arrive Too?
The Xiaomi 17 is among the first smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This flagship SoC is expected to appear in other premium devices over the next 6–10 months. By confirming the 17 series launch in India early, Xiaomi gains a head start over competitors, even as the phones are already available in other markets.
That said, the Chinese version of the Xiaomi 17 may differ from the Indian variant, as has been the case with other Xiaomi devices. The bigger question remains: will the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max also reach India?

The Xiaomi 17 is expected to be priced around ₹75,000 in India, though it could surpass the ₹80,000 mark at launch.
