Vivo Brings OriginOS 6 Beta to India, Offering a First Look at the New Experience
Vivo is officially introducing OriginOS 6 to the Indian market, marking the replacement of its Funtouch OS skin in the region. The company has now launched its OriginOS 6 preview program for select Vivo and iQOO devices, giving users an early experience of the new interface.
Many users have been requesting Vivo to expand the OriginOS skin beyond China, and the company has now answered these calls for both Vivo and iQOO smartphones. The OriginOS 6 preview program acts as a beta rollout for Android 16, which will gradually be made available on more devices.
OriginOS 6 Preview Program in India: Registration and Details
The preview program began on September 29, 2025, initially covering the Vivo X200 Pro and iQOO 13. This early rollout hints that Vivo may soon extend the update to older and possibly mid-range models.
To register for the OriginOS 6 preview on eligible devices:
- Open Settings → System Update
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner
- Select Version Trial → Closed Beta Sign-Up → View Details
- Complete the registration form
- Wait for Vivo’s confirmation on eligibility and next steps
As this is a beta update, Vivo advises users not to install it on primary devices to avoid potential issues. It is also recommended to back up all data in case some apps or overall stability are affected.
Vivo promises that OriginOS 6 in India will deliver “the smoothest Android experience with a refreshed interface, deeper customization, and enriched AI-driven features for a delightful product experience.”
With the Vivo X300 series launching in China next month, an Indian launch may follow soon. Users are eagerly anticipating how these new devices with OriginOS 6 will perform at the flagship level.
