New Delhi: An IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Delhi received a bomb threat on Tuesday morning, sources said. Flight 6E 762, carrying around 200 passengers, was reported to have received a non-specific threat, according to authorities.
An IndiGo spokesperson confirmed the security alert, stating, “Following standard protocol, we immediately informed the relevant authorities and fully cooperated with all security checks before the aircraft was cleared for operations.”
The source added that a full emergency was declared at Delhi airport as a precaution. Operated by an Airbus A321neo, the flight landed at approximately 7:53 am, according to flight tracking website Flightradar24.com.
The spokesperson also noted that the airline made every effort to minimize inconvenience to passengers, including providing refreshments and regular updates.
