Street Play on Sewa Parv staged at GGM Science College, Jammu

JAMMU: The Department of Information and Public Relations, Jammu, organized a special programme today at Government Gandhi Memorial Science College, Jammu, to celebrate Sewa Parv.

As part of the celebrations, the Cultural Unit of the Department presented a street play (Nukkad Natak) emphasizing the values of service, dedication, and community welfare. The performance highlighted the importance of “Sewa” (selfless service) as a cornerstone for building a compassionate and progressive society and also educated students about various schemes initiated by the Government of India.

The play was witnessed by Principal Dr. Romesh Gupta, Dr. Vandana Khajuria, faculty members, and a large gathering of students, who appreciated the artists’ efforts in creatively conveying the message of Sewa Parv. The event not only entertained but also inspired the audience to embrace the spirit of selfless service in both personal and professional spheres.

The programme was supported by the college’s cultural team, led by Dr. Yasmeen Mughal, Convener of the Cultural Committee, GGM Science College, Jammu. The Department of Information and Public Relations reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging art and culture as powerful tools for community awareness and the promotion of positive social values.

The event was conducted under the guidance of the Joint Director Information, Jammu, and supervised by the Cultural Officer.
