New Delhi: Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have revised the price of commercial LPG cylinders, effective Wednesday, October 1.
The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder has been increased by ₹15.50, bringing its retail price in Delhi to ₹1,595.50. The revision is part of the routine monthly price adjustment by OMCs.
There is no change in domestic LPG cylinder rates. A 14.2-kg domestic cylinder continues to cost ₹853 in Delhi, ₹868.50 in Chennai, ₹879 in Kolkata, and ₹852.50 in Mumbai. Domestic cylinder prices have remained unchanged since April 8.
The price hike will mainly affect restaurants, hotels, and businesses, while household cooking gas bills remain unaffected.
Last month, OMCs had reduced the price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder by ₹51.50, lowering Delhi’s rate to ₹1,580 from ₹1,631.50 in August.
Meanwhile, Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri recently credited the Centre’s decision to provide ₹30,000 crore compensation—approved by the Union Cabinet on August 8—for helping keep LPG prices stable despite global market volatility.
