The iPad Pro M5 is widely expected to launch with Apple’s new M5 chip in October, but a fresh leak has already given us an early look at the device.
A Russian YouTuber recently posted an unboxing video of the rumored iPad Pro M5, showcasing the design, specifications, and his impressions of the upcoming device, which many anticipate Apple will officially announce later this month.
iPad Pro M5 Leak: What We Learned
The video, shared by YouTuber Wylsacom, features the iPad Pro M5 box highlighting the M5 chip. The design, however, closely resembles the 2024 iPad Pro M4, with a 13-inch display and the 256GB variant being unboxed. The similarity in design suggests that Apple is unlikely to make major aesthetic changes this year, following the significant overhaul of the 2024 model.
The video also shows the iPad Pro M5 in black, alongside the new 45W charger. The device is running iPadOS 26, and its battery appears to have been manufactured in August 2025. Benchmark tests included in the video indicate only modest performance improvements over the M4 model, suggesting that while the M5 chip may not represent a massive leap, it remains a capable upgrade for the device’s form factor.
Wylsacom has a track record of accessing unreleased Apple products, adding credibility to this leak. With this early glimpse, it seems likely that the iPad Pro M5 will be announced soon—possibly alongside the new iPad Mini or the second-generation AirTag.
