Reasi District Celebrates Day 14 of Sewa Parv with Tree Plantation, Health Drives, and Skill Development Activities

REASI: On the 14th day of Sewa Parv 2025, the Reasi district administration continued its series of community-focused initiatives, with active participation from various departments under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik.

The Social Welfare Department organized a donation drive at Government Middle School, Moori, distributing school bags, stationery, and sanitary napkins to underprivileged students. A plantation drive was also conducted to promote environmental awareness. Activities at CCI Parisha Reasi, Anganwadi Centre Salal, and Government Girls Hr. Sec. School Reasi engaged 375 participants through cultural programs, slogan-writing competitions on the theme “Spirit of Sewa”, pledges, and awareness sessions on child rights and the harmful effects of substance abuse.

The Rural Development Department launched a special drive for single-use plastic collection, educating the public about eco-friendly alternatives. The Animal Husbandry Department conducted skill and capacity-building workshops on poultry farming, while the Agriculture Department visited remote areas to interact with farmers, provide relief measures, and raise awareness about government schemes.

The School Education Department reached over 10,000 students through activities organized across 303 schools. Meanwhile, the Municipal Council Reasi undertook community-focused initiatives, including free health check-ups for Safai Mitras, awareness drives on PMAY 2.0, Clean Green Utsav celebrations for eco-friendly festivals, and painting and rangoli competitions at Bharatiya Vidya Mandir School on the theme Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Other departments also continued their ongoing outreach efforts.

The day’s activities highlighted education, social responsibility, environmental conservation, and community engagement, reflecting the enduring spirit of service and inclusivity across the district.
