DC Rajouri Reviews Gram Sabha Preparations, MGNREGA Plans, and Capex Works
RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today chaired a virtual meeting to review preparations for Gram Sabhas scheduled tomorrow across the district. The meetings aim to prepare Vision Documents for 104 tribal villages under the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, as well as finalize MGNREGA plans in all Panchayats.
The DC emphasized the importance of wide publicity for the Gram Sabha schedule in every Panchayat to ensure maximum community participation. He directed that Chowkidars and Numberdars attend the Gram Sabhas mandatorily to strengthen grassroots-level planning.
Highlighting MGNREGA, he underlined that plans must be formalized strictly according to prescribed norms and guidelines, with a strong focus on community-oriented works addressing local development needs.
Additionally, the DC instructed officers to expedite the allotment of tendered works and ensure timely expenditure of ongoing Capex projects to maintain the district’s developmental momentum.
The meeting was attended by ADCs, ACR, CPO, ACP, ACD, Tehsildars, BDOs, and other district and sectoral officers.
