Mumbai: Bollywood heavyweights Karan Johar and Malaika Arora are teaming up for an intriguing new venture.
A recent promo shows the duo engaging in a playful, cryptic phone conversation, punctuated by the catchy sound of “Kaching Kaching.”
Keeping details under wraps, Karan teased fans, saying, “Wanna know what the Kaching is all about? Stay tuned.”
In his social media caption, he added, “Kaching! It’s not a sound, it’s a takeover. #KachingKaching #BigIdeasBigMoney #WhenFashionMeetsMoney.”
The teaser, with its cryptic dialogue and the golden phrase “Kaching Kaching,” has sparked widespread speculation across social media.
According to the official press release, the project hints at something bold: “Is it a disruptive new collaboration? An advertisement? A venture merging glamour, fashion, entertainment, and business? Or something else entirely?”
This collaboration comes on the heels of Karan Johar’s National Award win at the 71st National Film Awards. He was honoured for ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, which won the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
Back in August, Karan expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am ecstatic and overwhelmed to win the national award for a film exceptionally close to my heart… Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. I am grateful to the jury and humbled by the immense love the film continues to receive.”
‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, released on July 28, 2023, and earned widespread acclaim from audiences and critics alike.
