Namibia and Zimbabwe have secured their spots at the 2026 T20 World Cup, set to be held in India and Sri Lanka next February, after winning their respective semi-finals at the African qualifiers in Harare on Thursday.
Namibia cruised to a 63-run victory over Tanzania, powered by an unbeaten 61 off 43 balls from JJ Smit, who also claimed 3 wickets for 16 runs in his four overs.
Zimbabwe comfortably chased down Kenya’s target of 123, winning by seven wickets, with in-form batter Brian Bennett striking 51 from just 25 balls.
The two sides will face off in the final of the African qualifiers on Saturday.
Seventeen of the 20 World Cup spots have now been claimed, with the remaining three set to emerge from the Asia-Pacific qualifiers starting in Oman next week.
