Jammu Schools to Close on October 6–7 Amid Heavy Rain Forecast: DSEJ

Jammu: The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has announced that all government and private schools across the Jammu Division will remain closed for two days due to a forecast of heavy rainfall.

In an order issued by Dr. Naseem Javaid Chowdhary (JKAS), Director School Education Jammu, the decision was made following a weather advisory from the India Meteorological Department predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in several parts of the region.

“To ensure the safety and security of students and staff, all Government and Private Schools across Jammu Division shall remain closed on 06-10-2025 (Monday) and 07-10-2025 (Tuesday),” the order reads.

The Directorate further stated that any additional updates will be shared based on the evolving weather situation.
