Mumbai: Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas recently shared a heartfelt birthday message for her sister-in-law, Neelam Upadhyaya.
On her Instagram story, Priyanka posted a video carousel featuring snapshots of Neelam with the family from various occasions, including pre-wedding celebrations.
The video begins with a picture of Priyanka alongside her brother, Siddharth Chopra, and Neelam from their reception, followed by another that included Priyanka’s husband, Nick Jonas. Alongside a few glimpses from the wedding, she also shared an unseen candid of Neelam with her daughter, Malti Marie.
In her caption, Priyanka wrote, “Happiest birthday to the angel of our family. Hope you’re surrounded by laughter and love.”
Earlier, Priyanka’s mother, Madhu Chopra, had also posted a warm tribute to her daughter-in-law:
“You are such a beautiful blessing in our family — full of grace, love, and warmth. Watching the bond you share with our family fills our hearts with pride and gratitude. Wishing you endless happiness, success, and love today and always,” she wrote.
Siddharth Chopra and Neelam Upadhyaya tied the knot earlier this year in a traditional Punjabi ceremony. Priyanka flew to India with her daughter to join the festivities, fully immersing herself in the “band, baaja, and baarat.”
Videos from the wedding quickly went viral, showing Priyanka dancing enthusiastically to Punjabi songs during the baraat and sharing joyous moments with the family. One clip captured her performing the gathbandhan during the pheras, joking about how her mother instructed her to tie it tightly.
Recently, Priyanka was in India for Durga Puja celebrations and other engagements. She also inaugurated Bulgari’s first exhibition in India, making a glamorous appearance in a striking white gown with a fitted bodice and dramatic train.
On the professional front, Priyanka was last seen in the action thriller Heads of State alongside Idris Elba and John Cena. She also has SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated project with Mahesh Babu in the works.
