Dy CM Surinder Choudhary Participates in NPC Bodybuilding and Physique Competition, Awards Medals and Trophies to Winners

SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary today attended the one-day Bodybuilding and Physique Competition organized by the National Physique Committee at Tagore Hall.

The event featured weight categories ranging from 55 kg to 95 kg, with Salim emerging as the overall champion. Riyan secured victory in the Classic Physique category, while Zaid Abdullah was declared the winner in the Men’s Physique segment.

Addressing the participants, the Deputy Chief Minister expressed his delight at witnessing the dedication and strength of the athletes. He noted that their energy and commitment exemplify the positive paths the youth of J&K can pursue.

Highlighting the government’s efforts, the Deputy CM emphasized that initiatives are underway to channel the energy of young people into constructive activities and curb the menace of drug abuse. He extended his best wishes to all participants for future competitions and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to promoting sports, nurturing talent, and providing state-of-the-art infrastructure, facilities, and mentorship to prepare athletes for national and international events.

The Deputy Chief Minister also distributed medals, trophies, and certificates to the top performers of the competition.
