RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, today directed the immediate commencement of work on the culvert at Kheora to permanently resolve the recurring waterlogging problem during the rainy season.
The Deputy Commissioner instructed the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) to begin work within three days and install proper signage at the site. He also emphasized the need to create an alternate passage for pedestrians to ensure smooth movement during the construction period.
The PHE Department was directed to shift water pipelines, while the PDD was asked to relocate electric poles obstructing the project area. The Traffic Police were tasked with formulating suitable diversion plans to prevent congestion and ensure safe vehicular movement.
Further, the DC instructed ADC Chander Prakash to issue formal orders for the on-ground implementation of all directions, while the Police Department was asked to deploy adequate personnel for effective traffic regulation during the execution of the project.
The meeting was attended by ACR Mohammad Jahangir Khan, DySP Headquarters Satish Kumar, Tehsildar, representatives from the BRO and Traffic Police, and other district and sectoral officers.
