Inter-Zonal District Level Annual Athletic Meet for Boys held at Rajouri
RAJOURI: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Rajouri successfully conducted the Inter-Zonal District Level Annual Athletic Meet for Boys (All Age Groups) at the Sports Stadium Rajouri.
The stadium buzzed with enthusiasm as hundreds of young athletes from various zones participated in a series of thrilling track and field events. The competitions included races of 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m, along with field events such as javelin throw, shot put, discus throw, long jump, and high jump. Each contest showcased the athletes’ determination, discipline, and sportsmanship as they competed with zeal and encouraged one another.
The event not only celebrated athletic excellence but also reaffirmed the department’s commitment to youth empowerment and holistic development through sports. The enthusiastic participation of students and the dedicated efforts of officials reflected the spirit of teamwork and inter-zonal unity.
The vibrant meet was held under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Mohammad Qasim, with valuable guidance and support from ZPEO Baljarallan, Wali Mohammad. DYSSO Mohammad Qasim lauded the outstanding performances of the young athletes and appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee. Wali Mohammad emphasized that such events play a crucial role in nurturing budding talent and strengthening the sporting culture across Rajouri district.
