Javid Ahmad Dar visits Medicinal & Aromatic Plantation Farm at Rohama Baramulla
BARAMULLA: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Cooperative, and Election Departments, Javid Ahmad Dar today visited the Medicinal and Aromatic Plantation Farm at Hadipora, Sub-Division Rohama, Baramulla.
During the visit, the Minister reviewed the ongoing activities under the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAP) initiative, which focuses on high-value crop diversification and enhancing farmers’ income.
Interacting with farmers, the Minister sought feedback on the implementation of departmental schemes at the grassroots level and emphasized the importance of farmer-centric and sustainable agricultural initiatives.
Appreciating the efforts of the Agriculture Department in promoting medicinal and aromatic plant cultivation, Dar directed officials to further strengthen measures aimed at achieving sustainable and profitable agriculture.
The Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer, Rohama briefed the Minister about key interventions, achievements, and future strategies under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), which seeks to promote high-value crops and boost farmers’ livelihoods.
The visit reaffirmed the government’s continued commitment to strengthening agriculture and rural development across Jammu and Kashmir.
