Jammu: Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Pratik Sharma reviewed the operational preparedness of troops deployed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, officials said on Sunday.
The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Northern Command, visited forward areas along the border in the district on Saturday, they said.
According to a post on X by the Northern Command, Lt Gen Sharma assessed the operational readiness of the forces amid the prevailing security scenario.
During his interaction with the troops, the commander lauded their steadfast commitment, professionalism, and dedication in maintaining a high level of preparedness.
He also stressed the need for continuous operational readiness, innovative training techniques, and swift response mechanisms to effectively tackle evolving security challenges and ensure mission success, the Army added.
